The wheels of industry are turning! With the new Machinery Directive 2010.
There are many places getting the wheels of industry turning. Again process equipment and machinery for the industry are manufactured.
REMEMBER that manufacturing must be done according to the new rules and demands of the Machinery Directive being valid as from 01.01.2010. Some essential changes are to be considered:
-
New demands for documentation
-
New demands for type test of Enclosure 4 machines (particularly dangerous machines)
-
New demands for risk assessment
-
New demands regarding use of standards
-
New demands for existing and marked plants
-
Part machines replace components
-
New standards for emergency stop, row spacings, risk assessment, door monitoring, safe steerings, robots etc.
-
Facilitation for buyer, but more trouble and responsibility of manufacturer/supplier.
It might be difficult to survey all of these Standards and changes yourself, but you can get assistance!
With a broad experience in risk assessment, construction, manufacturing and marking of machines and machinery Kvejborg will be the perfect sparring partner for your business.

-
Update of documentation on existing equipment so that requirements are met
-
Review/risk assessment of your machinery/machine street (do safety meet requirements?)
I have a diploma in CE-marking and have followed relevant courses focusing on the transition to the new directive.
Did you know?
When selling used machinery it is, seen from the side of the Machinery Directive, seller who is the supplier. Which means that it is the supplier who is responsible for all documentation and safety on the machine/equipment being updated!
If 2 or more CE-marked machines are purchased to be composed with a common purpose, they are to be considered as 1 machine. Therefore a.o. a new risk assessment, documentation, and CE-mark have to be prepared.
Please feel welcome to call or contact Kvejborg for an informal meeting
